Our private pain practice in Charlotte, NC, Integrative Pain and Spine Institute, is seeking a self-motivated, highly energetic Anesthesia-based Pain Physician to help our practice expand and succeed. We have a diverse and growing patient population in this beautiful city. Our goal at IPS is to provide a thorough interventional and multi-modal approach to pain management. Gone are the days of prescribing pain medications. We treat pain at the source with in-office procedures that address the root cause of pain. We are seeking a fellowship-trained anesthesia-based pain physician that aligns with our mission, vision and values of providing top quality care to our patients in an office setting.

Job Summary:
The pain physician treats and monitors chronic and acute pain in patients. The pain physician will consider the patient's medical history and healthcare record and use a variety of interventional pain techniques to treat the symptoms. Pain techniques include but are not limited to joint injections of the spine, neck, joints, and head etc. The physician will use multi modal techniques and some medication management for ongoing pain management.
The pain physician will work with a robust team of clinical and non-clinical support staff to include receptionists, medical assistants, and nurses as well as work with partners in the pain division. The physician is responsible for interacting and collaborating with other physicians and partners throughout the practice. The pain physician may also be required to work with third party practice affiliates such as legal teams, billing companies, or other various firms that assist the practice.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including physical examinations and medical histories.
Develop personalized treatment plans that optimize patient outcomes.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as imaging studies and tests, to aid in diagnosis.
Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions to manage pain effectively.
Perform interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, and radiofrequency ablation, as appropriate.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and progress.
Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Maintain excellent communication with patients, families, and referring providers.
Collaborate with other pain clinics within the practice
Partner with the practices’ third parties and affiliates on new healthcare laws, billing, marketing etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
Board certified pain anesthesiologist.
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Completion of anesthesia residency from an accredited university.
Completion of pain fellowship.
Valid North Carolina License.
Current DEA License.
